Welcome to Skillsheet
Skillsheet is an AI-powered recruiting platform built to help you find, engage, and hire the right candidates faster. Whether you are sourcing for a single role or managing dozens of open positions, Skillsheet gives you the tools to streamline every step of the hiring process.
What You Can Do
With Skillsheet, you have access to a full suite of recruiting capabilities:
- Search candidates using natural language queries and detailed filters
- Manage a hiring pipeline with drag-and-drop stage management
- Send bulk email campaigns with open, click, and reply tracking
- Schedule interviews through a built-in Cal.com integration
- Use agentic sourcing to let AI agents autonomously find and rank candidates for you
- Organize candidates into lists with custom tags
- Integrate with Bullhorn ATS, Cal.com, and LinkedIn
Quick Setup Checklist
Follow these steps to get up and running:
- Sign in to Skillsheet using your email or SSO provider.
- Create or join a company. If your organization already has a Skillsheet account, ask a team member to invite you. Otherwise, create a new company from the onboarding screen.
- Set up your profile. Add your name, job title, and a profile photo. This information appears on outbound emails and scheduling links.
- Connect your email. Link your work email so you can send outreach directly from Skillsheet.
- Set up Cal.com for interview scheduling. Skillsheet can auto-configure this for you during onboarding.
- Create your first position or start a candidate search to begin sourcing.
Navigating the Dashboard
The Skillsheet dashboard is organized around a left sidebar with five primary sections:
- Search — Find candidates using natural language queries, filters, and AI-powered semantic search.
- Pipeline — View and manage all candidates across your hiring stages.
- Inbox — Compose and track email campaigns, and manage replies from candidates.
- Lists — Organize candidates into custom groups with tags for easy retrieval.
- Positions — Create and manage job positions, generate AI-powered job postings, and link positions to your pipeline.
At the top of the dashboard you will find your notification bell, account settings, and credit balance indicator.
Understanding Credits and Usage Limits
Skillsheet uses a credit-based system tied to your subscription plan. Credits are consumed when you perform certain actions:
- Manual candidate search — 1 credit per search
- Agentic sourcing — 5 credits per agentic search
- Data enrichment (email, phone lookups) — 1 credit per enrichment
- Bulk email sends — credits per email sent, based on your plan
Checking Your Balance
Your current credit balance is displayed in the top-right corner of the dashboard. Click on it to see a breakdown of usage for the current billing period.
Running Low on Credits
If your credits are running low, you can:
- Upgrade your subscription plan for a higher monthly allocation
- Purchase additional credit packs from Account Settings > Billing
- Wait for your credits to reset at the start of your next billing cycle
Getting Help
If you run into issues or have questions:
- Help Center — Click the ? icon in the bottom-left corner of the sidebar to access searchable help articles.
- In-app Chat — Use the chat widget to reach Skillsheet support directly.
- Email Support — Contact support@skillsheet.com for account, billing, or technical issues.
- Onboarding Walkthrough — Revisit the guided tour at any time from Account Settings > Onboarding.
Keyboard Shortcuts
Speed up your workflow with these shortcuts:
- / — Focus the search bar
- G then P — Go to Pipeline
- G then I — Go to Inbox
- G then L — Go to Lists
- G then S — Go to Search
You can view the full list of shortcuts by pressing ? from any screen.
Next Steps
Now that your account is set up, here are some recommended next steps:
- Search for candidates — Head to the Search page and try a natural language query like “senior React developer in Austin with 5 years experience.”
- Create a position — Go to Positions and set up your first open role.
- Explore agentic sourcing — Let the AI find candidates for you while you focus on other tasks.
- Set up an email template — Prepare reusable outreach templates in the Inbox section.
