LinkedIn Integration
Overview
Skillsheet’s LinkedIn integration lets you tap into your professional network without leaving the platform. Once connected, you can search your LinkedIn connections for candidates, send InMail messages, and view LinkedIn profile data alongside Skillsheet’s own candidate information. This integration bridges the gap between your network relationships and your recruiting workflow.
Connecting Your LinkedIn Account

LinkedIn Account Tiers
LinkedIn Account Tiers
The features available depend on your LinkedIn subscription:
- LinkedIn Free — View profiles of 1st-degree connections, limited search.
- LinkedIn Premium — Extended profile views, InMail credits (based on your Premium tier).
- LinkedIn Recruiter — Full search capabilities, bulk InMail, advanced filters.
Skillsheet surfaces whatever your LinkedIn tier allows. Upgrading your LinkedIn plan unlocks more functionality within Skillsheet.

InMail Tips
Tip
- Personalize every message — Reference something specific from the candidate’s profile to increase response rates.
- Keep it brief — Two to three short paragraphs perform best.
- Include a clear call to action — Ask for a specific next step, such as a quick call or reply with availability.
- Track responses — InMail replies appear in Skillsheet’s messaging tab on the candidate profile.
InMail Credits
Warning
InMail messages consume credits from your LinkedIn subscription. Skillsheet displays your remaining InMail credit count in the LinkedIn section of Settings > Integrations. When you run out of LinkedIn InMail credits, the Send InMail button is disabled until your credits renew.
